Youth in Action for Change 2014-2015

Beneficiaries Description: The project directly targets about 120 students of 3 universities of Gyumri, Gavar and Vanadzor; at least 60 graduates of those 3 universities/ cities who participated in CDA 2005-2014 projects; 100 young adults of surrounding communities of the 3 universities. The total number of direct beneficiaries is 280 youth.

Project Areas: Gegharkounik (Gavar), Shirak (Gyumri) and Lori (Vanadzor)

Project Goal: To bring positive social change and proactively contribute to further democratization of Armenia through youth empowerment and active civic participation.

Project Objectives:

  1. To enhance the knowledge and skills of nearly 60 graduates from the universities of the project’s implementation sites in the areas of Environment, Human Rights Promotion and Protection, and Economic Stability to prioritize problematic issues and initiate activities directed to the solution of those issues.
  2. To develop communication and collaboration between the project participant youth and local and international NGOs and other related organizations in the areas of Environment, Human Rights Promotion and Protection, and Economic Stability.
  3. To establish networking and contacts among the graduates and students actively participating in the 3 YC activities and in grant projects.
