Beneficiaries: 1,500 students (13-17 years of age) of 85 schools from Yerevan, regions of Armenia, Lebanon (Beirut and Aynjar), and Javakhq (Georgia)
Project Areas: Armenia ( Yerevan, Vardenis, Jambarak, Gyumri, Vandzor, Armavir, Sevan, gavar, Vagharshapat), Lebanon (10 schools) and Georgia 4 centers (Javakhq/Akhalkalaki villages)
The goal of the project:
Promoting the further development of civil society by organizing structured and sustainable debate clubs in the schools.
Objectives:
- increasing the knowledge and interest of young school age Armenians in key issues related to the development of civil society, democracy, and human rights,
- building communication and analytical thinking skills of school age youth that will permit them to more actively participate in the development of Armenian society, today and later in their adult lives,
- adding value to the education system and increasing enthusiasm of young Armenians for learning through in-person and on-line participatory methods.
