Youth Business Armenia

Beneficiaries Description: About 75 young people from Gegharkunik, Lori and Shirak marzes of Armenia to be benefited from the initial business idea generation and development training, out of which 45 will be engaged into business planning and management training, and 30 potential young entrepreneurs will be financed and supported throughout the entire project. 

Project Area: Gegharkunik, Lori and Shirak regions of Armenia 

Project Goal: to support young people in the regions of Armenia in their need for entrepreneurial success, and to contribute to the creation and expansion of youth-led enterprises, thus promoting development of the local private sector and helping to alleviate the poverty and social disparities. 

Project Objectives: 

  • To empower 18-35 age young people from the Gegharkunik and Lori regions of Armenia to start or expand their entrepreneurial activities - by providing business trainings, consultancy and continues mentoring to sustain. 
  • To provide prospective young entrepreneurs with an access to affordable loan capital. 
  • To increase the employment opportunities for the regional young people to remain and work in their communities, improve the economic state of their families and communities. 
  • Encourage young women to be engaged in entrepreneurial activity either in a position of owner or taking a leading and decision making role in the family business.
