Summer Camp 2024 (OLA)

Beneficiaries Description: 850 children aged 8-14 from needy families and orphanages from different marzes of Armenia.  

Project Area: Tsaghkadzor, Kotayk Region

Project Goal: to organize leisure, good nutrition and education of our 850 beneficiaries and strengthen their spiritual, physical and emotional well-being.

Project Objectives:

• Provide the beneficiaries with nutritious and healthy food;
• Contribute to their spiritual growth through daily catechism classes, morning and evening prayers, graces before meals, daily masses for small groups, christening ceremonies, liturgical singing and small theatrical performances on religious themes;
• Offer them dental services and health education;
• Enable them to display their talents during classes, evening performances and special camp events;
• Grant them educational and cultural experiences through indoor and outdoor activities, trips and excursions, presentations and performances;
• Consolidate their national pride through daily raising of the flag, singing and dancing classes and cultural presentations;
• Develop their multicultural awareness through foreign language classes and encounters with volunteers from abroad;
• Improve their physical health through daily gymnastics, competitions, outdoor games and traditional dances;
• Enhance their creativity and aesthetic values through arts and embroidery classes, etc.
• Give them the opportunity to start friendships and build up respect and care for others, reinforce their sense of responsibility while they help out with serving meals, tidying bedrooms, cleaning the cafeteria and camp area, etc.;
• Organize their leisure, enhance their knowledge on history and culture, and bring them to a closer contact with nature by arranging walks in the surroundings of Tsaghkadzor and excursions to historical monuments.
