Youth in Action for Change 2016-2018

Beneficiaries Description: The project directly targets about 240 students of 3 universities of Gyumri, Gavar and Vanadzor and young adults of surrounding communities; and at least 180 graduates of those 3 universities. Total number of direct beneficiaries is 420 youth. Indirectly project targets the other students of those 3 universities, universities' administration and staff, families of the graduates/students, community members. 

Project Areas: Gegharkounik (Gavar), Shirak (Gyumri) and Lori (Vanadzor)

Project Goal: To promote youth (graduates and students of the universities) of Gyumri, Vanadzor and Gavar regions to identify and find solutions to problems in the spheres of Environment, Human Rights Promotion and Protection, and Economic Stability through collaboration and proactive participation in decision making. 

Project Objectives:

  1. To enhance the knowledge and skills of nearly 180 graduates and 240 students/youth from the neighboring communities/ universities of Gyumri, Vanadzor and Gavar towns in the areas of Environment, Human Rights Promotion and Protection, and Economic Stability to prioritize problematic issues in their regions and initiate activities directed to the solution of those issues.
  2. To promote communication and collaboration among the youth of the targeted regions of Armenia and other related organizations working in the areas of Environment, Human Rights Promotion and Protection, and Economic Stability to involve all interested parties in thematic discussions and decision making.
  3. To further develop a network and contacts among the participant youth of the projects.
